Job Description

A G Consulting LTD are looking for a part time (6.30am - 9.30am Monday to Friday) Media Analyst to join our Meltwater team based in our central Dunedin office.

 

As a Media Analyst  you will become an expert on media intelligence for a whole range of industries/companies. Working closely with your Team Lead and Media Analyst Manager, you will join our growing team of analysts working alongside the Client Success team in Meltwater’s Sydney and Melbourne offices, providing critical curation services built upon the client's monitoring needs, while ensuring customer satisfaction. 

This is a chance to gain invaluable product knowledge, deal with different types of clients and get a great understanding of the Australian and New Zealand media landscapes and media intelligence in general. 

This is an office based role.

 

The job: 

You will be responsible for 

  • Using the Meltwater platform to analyse data streams from multiple media channels to measure the impact of clients’ brand marketing, public relations and social media outreach campaigns 
  • Manually curating daily newsletters and providing outside insights that keep the client informed in their specified areas 
  • Upholding the Service-Level Agreements (SLAs) established with the clients, particularly factual accuracy, formatting and turnaround times
  • Understanding the Australian and New Zealand media landscape

Hours: 6.30am - 9.30am

  • Eligible to work in New Zealand 
  • Able to work independently to tight deadlines as well as part of a team, sharing knowledge and insights.
  • Keen interest in news, current affairs and social media influence 
  • Able to scan content quickly and with accuracy to look for key insights 
  • Early starter with a strong commitment to work 
  • Able to summarise content and demonstrate good grammar 
  • Preferably educated to degree level in a relevant subject (Media, Communications, Business, Commerce, English etc)
