Startup Dunedin is a not-for-profit trust that supports anyone who aspires to start up in Ōtepoti to succeed or fail faster. We run programmes, events and resources for anyone starting something or growing something. From new small businesses, to innovative tech companies, we work with founders solving problems in the world. Our customer can be students at Otago University or Otago Polytechnic wanting to learn entrepreneurial skills, founders looking to grow their startup or the wider community wanting to hear stories of all the new and interesting things happening in the city.
What the Business needs:
Student Marketing Intern This role is vital in ensuring we are supporting students across both Te Pūkenga and Otago University campuses in both education, inspiration and community connection. This role will develop and execute social media strategies and content across all our platforms including TikTok, Linkedin, Facebook, Instagram and website content. You will engage directly with students and the Startup Dunedin team to understand their goals and preferences, translating this into captivating social media content. Your key responsibilities are as follows: Collaborate with the Startup Dunedin team to develop, and execute creative social media strategies that build our community and brand presence. Engage directly with students and staff at Otago University and Otago Polytechnic to understand their goals, preferences, and messaging, translating these insights into engaging content. Create content, including graphics, videos, and written posts, to tell compelling stories and engage our community. Monitor all social media platforms, responding to comments, messages, and interactions in a genuine and timely manner upholding Startup Dunedin values Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging platforms to identify opportunities for creative growth. |
