Introducing the Business:

Are you excited about the future of farming? Are you keen to contribute to sustainable farming practices to help us build our technology platform for farm monitoring and control, starting with water and irrigation management. New Zealand has developed one of the most efficient livestock farming systems in the world and Next Farm may be your pathway to making a difference in one of New Zealand’s most vital industries.

Next Farm is looking for people who want to stretch their heads around what the future of farming could look like.

What the Business needs:

Electronics Role

We have a role for a person who knows their way around a circuit board and can fathom electronic communications technologies particularly in radio mesh networks and the software that governs the application of this technology. In the first instance you will primarily get your head around our base stations, and build a small batch of these (4-6) including writing up a troubleshooting guide. The role is for approx 20 hrs per week for 4-6 weeks, it would be great if you had a vehicle as one of our technology partners is based in Milton. For the right person this can continue and develop as a part time role over the next year, or develop into something bigger if you are outgoing and proactive and want to join the team in a semi-leadership role.

Market Research Role

We want to make sure that we’re at the forefront of this potential global market. Are you interested in water management, curious and love to find out “whose doing what”?

If you have the ability to cold call and ask questions, and have proven research and analytical skills to help us make good decisions and stay ahead of our competitors, we’d love to hear from you. In the first instance the role is for 20-30 hrs per week for 6-8 weeks however we are flexible around this and the role has plenty of potential to develop if you are ambitious and fit the team!
